KAOS is a method dedicated to requirements engineering. It comes from research made at the University of Louvain (Belgium), originally in partnership with the University of Oregon. The first outcomes of the method have been released in 1990 when the first scientific seminal papers on the methodology have been published.
For about ten years now, this method is being applied in companies always with success (see the Reference page) and is teached in the best engineering schools in the world.
IThe linked pages provide the following information:
- the rationales behind the KAOS method and why it is so successful
- an outline of the analysis process followed during a KAOS study
- the core aspects of the method: the modeling phase
