Context : According to strategical reorganization of steel production activities in the area of Liège (B), the improvement of the production management tools used in all the remaining plants has become a prioritary topic for the group. As the group results from the merge of several plants that use separate production management systems not really designed to communicate with each other and not easily upgradable, the need for a unique production management system is become clear.
Contribution : A model integrating all the expected functions for a unique production management system, the interfaces with the upstream information systems (order entry, accounting system) and downstream information systems (process management) including links to the business goals to achieve.
